Patricia Ann Brewer passed away peacefully at her home on May 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born November 10, 1941, in Nolan, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dollie Jarrell. She graduated from Chattaroy High School and went on to earn her degree at the Huntington School of Business in 1960. After graduation, she worked as an administrative assistant for several companies in the Huntington, West Virginia, area before retiring to raise a family with her loving husband of 61 years, William Grady Brewer. She was an active leader in Cub Scouts and the Awana youth program at Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a constant source of encouragement and love to her sons, Christopher David and Brian Jeffrey, in their activities and schoolwork. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail set an example for her entire family. Pat was proud to be a coal miner’s daughter and was the oldest of five siblings. She was more than a sister; she was a guide, a protector, and a role model. She was known for her bright smile and unshakeable spirit. She loved spending time with her family, especially visiting with her brother or taking road trips with her sisters, where they made more laughs and stories than the miles they drove. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished her role as Nana above all others. She leaves behind a legacy of love rooted in the beautiful home that she and Grady nurtured “on the hill.” She was preceded in death by her husband, William Grady Brewer. She is survived by her two sons, Christopher David Brewer (Traci) of Dayton, Ohio, and Brian Jeffrey Brewer (Melanie) of Cary, North Carolina; one brother, Robert Jarrell (Adela); three sisters, Thelma Tackett, Lena Fletcher, and Bonnie Runyon (Haskell); and four grandchildren, Abby, A.J., Breleigh, and Brett. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services, 1592 E. Pea Ridge Rd., Huntington, WV (near Barboursville), with Pastor Greg Wagoner officiating. Flowers are welcome and may be sent to Henson and Kitchen Mortuary. Memorial donation may also be made to the Hospice of Huntington, WV. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. The family will receive friends immediately before the funeral service, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services.
