Joshua Alan Chinn, 36 of Ceredo, WV went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 19, 1987, in Rockledge, FL the son of Perry and Leshia Bradley Chinn of Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Christ Temple Church 2400 Johnstown Rd Huntington, WV with Pastor Chuck Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Josh was a graduate of Marshall University with his BA in Secondary Education and was a member of Christ Temple Church. He was also a Healthcare and Physical Education Teacher at Ceredo-Kenova Middle School where he taught hundreds of children in his community, all who loved him dearly. Josh started the basketball team at C-K Middle School and coached that team that went on to win three winning championships. He also coached the girls’ basketball team at C-K Middle School. He was also an avid Florida State, Cardinals, and Packer’s fan. What gave Josh the most joy in life was his baby daughter. He was the absolute best dad. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, “Nana” Joni and “Pop” Edward Chinn; maternal grandmother, Ruth Evelyn McCloud; “Mamaw Betty” Betty Jo Collins. He is survived by his loving wife, Brittany Jonee Allyson Short Chinn of Ceredo, WV; his daughter, Ryleigh Jo Chinn of Ceredo, WV; his brother, Jeremy Ryan (Whitney) Chinn of Huntington, WV; nieces and nephews, Emma Reese, Arabella Jordan, Easton Silas and Parker Ryan, Emma Grace, Ella Kate, and Parker Mitchell and a community of friends. The family will receive friends on from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Christ Temple Church Health and Life Center, located to rear of the main sanctuary on the pinnacle of the Christ Temple Church campus.
